Marcella M. Johnston
STEVENSVILLE - Marcella M. Johnston, 93, of Stevensville passed away Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009 at the Bitterroot Valley Living Center. She was born May 6, 1916 in Ringling, the daughter of Thomas and Minnie (Huntsinger) McCurry.
Marcella was raised and educated in Ringling and graduated high school in White Sulphur Springs. She married John C. Johnston in Livingston July 23, 1937 and he passed away in January 2008 after 70 years of marriage. Together they owned and/or operated many businesses together. Marcella and John’s last business was the Indian Trading Post in Virginia City, both retiring in 1976 after selling it.
She is survived by her two daughters, Pat Lynch of Corvallis and Kathy Crase and husband Pete of Shelton, Wash.; five grandchildren, Aaron Lynch and wife Vickie of Gig Harbor, Wash., Amy Mohn and husband Brad of Hamilton, Amber Lynch and husband Mike Portner of Stevensville, John Crase and wife Jamie of Olympia, Wash. and Anne Jones and husband Dave of Tacoma, Wash.; her sister, Zillahn Hawthorne of Townsend; and six great-grandchildren.
There will be no formal services held. Private family interment will take place. Condolences may be left for the family at www.dalyleachchapel.com.
Eva Bessenyey
HAMILTON - Our beloved wife, mother, sister and friend Eva Bessenyey passed away Dec. 27, 2009 at the age of 85.
A special light went out of the world this day. She was able to celebrate her last birthday and Christmas at home with family around her.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Francis; her three daughters, Margit, Ilona (Peter), and Kristina (Clint); brother, Sandor (Eva); sisters-in-law, Eva and Magdi; nieces, Ilona, Maria, Rose-Noel, Denise; nephew, Marcus; and grandchildren, Merrick, Alina, Marielle and Liska. She was loved by everyone who knew her and she will be greatly missed.
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church, with a reception immediately following in the Parish Life Center. Interment will take place at 2 p.m. at Riverview Cemetery in Hamilton. Memorial donations may be made in Eva’s name to the Hungarian Knights of Malta, P.O. Box 31136, Bethesda, MD, 20824.
