Municipal election ballots mailed to voters
by DAVID ERICKSON - Ravalli Republic
Citizens of Hamilton, Darby, Stevensville and Pinesdale should be receiving mail-in ballots for the 2009 municipal general elections in the next few days.

All ballots were mailed out yesterday. They need to be returned to the Ravalli County Courthouse by Nov. 3.

“The biggest thing to remember is the ballots can’t just be postmarked by election day (Nov. 3), they have to be received at the courthouse by that date,” said Election Administrator Regina Plettenberg.

The address to mail the ballots or drop them off by hand is at the Administration Building, 215 S. Fourth St., Suite C, Hamilton MT 59840.

Anyone who has problems with their ballot or questions can call the Ravalli County Clerk and Recorder’s office at 375-6555 or the election office at 375-6550.

“We will do whatever we can to assist the voters,” Plettenberg said.

She also said people who don’t want to pay postage can either drop off their ballots in person or have their friends drop off ballots for them.
